I Survived

I had my tooth pulled Thursday, not so much because it was a bad tooth but it was a huge wisdom tooth that had apparently shifted and was grinding into the back of my jawbone right at the hinge, so it was tearing it up back there pretty good and causing a lot of swelling which in turn caused it to rub more causing me terrible discomfort when I would talk or chew. As for the dentist he did an adequate job, he had a hell of a time removing it, he is just a little dude and I swore he was going to climb on top of me and start pulling from there, but no he just grabbed the bigger extractors (pliers!) and kept on twisting and yanking. This thing was huge, the tooth itself was the size of a jaw breaker *smiles* no pun intended, and the roots were 1/2 an inch long, but he got it. Then to ad to my fun he didn’t prescribe a pain killer so once the Novocaine started wearing off I was dyin’. All I could think was what the hecks wrong with me it didn’t hurt this bad to begin with.

I ended up calling there office and they prescribed some Darvocet, by 8pm I had taken two Vicoden, one Darvocet, one Celebrex and a Roboxin. I was sitting up nodding off but the pain was excruciating! So the moral of my tale is this, TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH! There is no reason anyone should have to go through pain like this, it is truly awful, it’s Saturday morning and the only solid food I can chew with my bruised and beat up mouth is eggs.
