I Am So Sad

I feel like I lost a close friend last night. What happened was my son, daughter and myself were playing some Xbox 360 when all of a sudden we hear this hideous grinding noise, it sounded like a dog had crawled into my surround sound and was chewing on plastic. I realize that its not my surround sound, its my 360. We quickly get the game out and close the tray, it pops back open. I close the tray again, it immediately opens again, we try a few more times with and without games, nothing, it wont close. After going on Google we find that this is a pretty common problem and there isn’t any fix. My son fiddled with the tray a little and it finally closed, now it closes but it makes a eerie humming sound.

I called Microsoft today and my warranty just ran out in December, so its going to cost me one hundred dollars to have them fix it or replace it and then I get a new one year warranty and that covers shipping both ways. I guess its not a bad deal, its better than having to replace the whole thing. The part that makes me really sad is they are talking 2-3 weeks turn around. It wouldn’t be so bad if I hadn’t quit smoking but now I feel as though I have lost all my means of stress relief and its harsh.
