Get Ready Its Almost Black Friday
No just kidding, for those of you who are clueless black friday is the day after Thanksgiving and it’s considered the biggest shopping day of the year. It is also a huge tradition for my son and I to start planning well in advance and get our game plan together, because as we have found if you don’t have a plan of where to be first and what can wait or know what’s going fast and what will still be at a store, you might as well forget it. Many years of trial and error have gone into our shopping plan and that’s why we are so successful, we have gotten so good we finish a lot of our shopping on Black Friday and we save hundreds.
One of the keys to being prepared is having the right tools, now until recently this meant getting the sales ads from the Thanksgiving day paper and pouring over them all day because you only have a limited time before the turkey makes you drowsy, and you need to get to bed because 3am is coming soon. This is not the way to get on your mothers good side when she has spent three days creating this amazing meal and you spend it with your face in a sales advertisement. Well times change and so do the tools we have at our disposal.
This last year I happen to be watching the local news about three weeks before BF and they were showing what they called a sneak ad, I am pretty sure it was Best Buy and it was printed off a computer, they said they would be showing more of them in the next week but they also mentioned being able to get them on a site they called black friday.info. Well I was there, and not only did they have sneak peeks of actual ads, I was able to sign up for the e-mail alerts, so the day they got the Wal-Mart ad I knew about it, which was a huge deal to me because my brother and I were planning on getting my parents a LCD television and I really needed the time to compare prices. Thanks to the advance ads I was able to get that TV save over 250 dollars and still make it to Best Buy for an insane deal on a Nintendo DS I wanted for my daughter. For people that are into saving money but getting what you want this site is an indispensible tool, I know it sure made our holiday dinner a lot more comfortable, the heat from my mother’s glare burning through a sales ad was absent anyway. *laughs* totally kidding mom!
