Birthdays, Parent’s, And Collections Of Scary Things

My weekend festivities have come to a close and I had a fantastic Birthday, every year I swear they get better and my family celebrates just as much no matter how old I or everyone else is getting. This year I tried not to ask for much because I figure at my age I really don’t need a bunch of gifts I just really want to spend time with my family, but as usual that backfired a bit because they always get me what I want plus some. (They are awesome like that!)

So without further ado I will tell all about my weekend, it began Friday night with Markus bringing me out to Bennigan’s, ( I have never been) I felt just like Butters from South Park! It was really great, I had the Guinness Steak, mmmmmm, and the employees all came out and sang the Bennigan’s rendition of Happy Birthday, which involves a lot of clapping from what I recall, it was loud, and embarrassing but fun none the less. After dinner we proceeded to Best Buy, partly to walk off a buzz from the Electric Lemonades we drank and well why not. Markus bought me the game Jericho from Clive Barker that I have been wanting for a while, its pretty intense so far.

Saturday was my actual Birthday so we planned to meet my parents and my boyfriend Chad (he works out of town) at a little place in town here that we like to frequent. Little did I know Chad had called ahead and requested one of their amazing cheese cakes with my name on it. The meal was great ,my Dad insisted on taking care of the bill and the owner insisted on giving us the huge cheese cake for nothing. (Sweet… literally!)

Afterward we headed back to the house for gifts and more cake (my mom makes my annual Better Than Sex cake, it’s in a league of its own!) I received so many nice things. Markus got me the bra for my car and a Vandelay Industries T-shirt, (It’s a Seinfeld joke….HILARIOUS!) and an easy switch so I can turn my TV on from my car, or lamp or whatever. My parents are so cool, I don’t know how long my mother spent searching, probably a very long time but she found the whole Stephen King/Marvel Comics, Dark Tower comic series which I had been trying to collect and she somehow got the whole series, the sketch book, a 1 of 5 from the next series which I have yet to know was coming AND…. a limited addition leather slipcover they all fit into!!! Way excited about that! Then if all that weren’t enough she got me a new pair of sweats because my new exercise has been a form of jogging in which my daughter chases me with her bike.

Katrein got me the Alvin and the Chipmunks DVD because she knows I am a huge fan of the Chipmunks, I cried back in the eighties when my parents didn’t want to buy me the new Chipmunk Punk album, I got it……I’m spoiled….always have been. Chad gave me a beautiful Black Hills gold heart shaped locket that I absolutely love and cash which I love a lot to. Seriously the cash was for something I have since ordered that he just didn’t have the time or resources to get. All in all it was one of the best birthdays ever, and I really had a blast, it was so fun having my parents over. And thats basically a ‘birth’ day in the life of our family.

Seems different from your previous posts. Did YOU write this post, or someone else did? Anyway, I think your readers really enjoyed reading it.
