Weekly Taste Bud #2 Ham & Cheese Hotdish

Here we go again, today’s recipe is fantastic for getting rid of left over ham, now I am not suggesting you should still have ham from Easter, unless its frozen, please. This one’s a favorite straight from my mother who can do no wrong in my eyes when it comes to cooking.

Ham & Cheese Hotdish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Ham- cut into bite size cubes about 2-3 cups

Potatoes- cut into bite size cubes or those bags of frozen hash browns the square ‘Country style’ ones work great. You need one good size potato per person (like 4-5) or one bag frozen.

Velveeta cheese- half a large package cubed

1 can cream of celery soup

1 can creamed corn

Butter or Margarine- about 5 pats or 5 tsp

Salt and Pepper to taste

Put it all together in a casserole dish or a greased 9×13 pan, place the butter/margarine on top, you can cover this while baking just be careful it tends to boil the top right off. Bake about 45 minutes or until golden, bubbly and potatoes are soft when poked.
