Rubber Claws- What Will They Think Of Next
I don’t usually talk about my cats this much but I did something yesterday thats worth talking about. A few weeks ago I was looking up options to declawing because as some of you know about two months ago I dropped three grand on new living room furniture. My cats are exceptional, they never sharpen their claws on furniture, but they jump on it and Mini Mo has huge claws so if he slides on the leather…well you get the idea. And the kittens well they are just climbing everything including very expensive curtains.
I am not a huge fan of declawing, I think its like cutting all the ends of our fingers off. Now they have an option, the ones I found are called Soft Paws and they are developed by a Veterinarian, they are just to cool, I laughed my butt off when I first saw the site, cats posing this way and that with colored claws, they even offered designer colors. But over a couple weeks I thought about it more and more and with the kittens it was getting urgent.
They are not real cheap, but you get plenty for several applications because they only last about six weeks.
They come in a huge assortment of colors, I chose multi for Mini Mo and the kittens got pink with blue tips.
Crazy, it was easier gluing the things on then getting these pictures, they would not be still.
Those claws are so neat. I really like your choice of colors. I really must have some for Gizmo.
Yeah right!!! Gizmo would need an Elephant tranquilizer and you’d need full body armor just to pet that damn cat, I could just see it…..and it involves a lot of blood! I will surely give you the link so you can order up a pretty set. ;P
I have been wanting to try those myself, because I think they look very fashionable!

Oh wow.. I love these.. I have 6 kitties and I guess you can imagine the havoc they cause on the furnitures. Thanks for sharing.. err is it easy to come off??

they come with an adhesive, it smells like super glue but doesn’t dry that fast. They claim to last six weeks, we will see
