Not Been Myself Lately

So who have I been, hard to say really, I just feel kind of caught up in my head. I’ve been doing some social networking on Plurk.com that’s kind of fun and really informative if you follow the right people but other than that I have been kind of unhappy and discontent. You see I have been trying to lose some weight, get in shape, get more exercise and as soon as I start doing really good and seeing results I suffer a major set back with a pinched nerve affecting my left leg, so now I can hardly walk anywhere at all which makes getting in shape short of impossible and the only solution my doctor gives me is to get in better shape and lose some weight?? So I’m left feeling rather bemused and frustrated, but I am supposed to be getting a cortisone shot which should help lessen the pain so I can get more exercise.

I just feel like I’m on this stupid merry-go-round ever since I injured my back in 2004 and I really hate that everything I do causes me pain and the only solution I ever get is more pills which make me more tired so it’s harder to get myself motivated to do anything so then I gain weight which causes me more pain, and round and round. I guess my heads just been wrapped around all this lately and trying to find my own solutions to easing my pain, and finding time and energy to live a life.

Okay so enough moping about I’m going to make a huge effort this week to pull myself up by my bootstraps and get my head up and get back into the land of the living! By the end of this week this post will be old news and I will be back to Sue again, for better or worse!

I can SO relate. I’ve been there. And I’m starting to have problems again. Mine is in my right leg. My toes burn when I get out of bed or a chair. Which is much better that it used to be. Three protruding disks. Two years ago I was ready for a wheel chair. Hope you get better. Hope you find a resolution soon.
