Knit One…. Plurk Two

Does everyone on Plurk knit? Maybe I am just out of the loop and everyone knits period. Hmmm I will have to think about that but there is an overwhelming amount of knitters on Plurk….oh whats Plurk, its a social networking site, kind of, or a mini blog social networking site. I really enjoy being on there and I have met people from all over the world. What I like about Plurk as apposed to other sites like Twitter is the ability to make a statement or ask a question and others can add to it, comment on it, or answer. It makes for a fun interactive atmosphere and as I have said I have met many different types of people from all over, and I get to read about the lives of people from as far away as China and Australia or as close as right next door in Wisconsin. It’s an interesting little world within the safety and anonymity of Plurk, people share, flirt, complain, rant, worry and care about each other, its truly addictive and fascinating, probably some sick voyeuristic part of my personality.

I love when people share things about their family or children, I don’t know its just my curios nature, but I am always sharing things about my kids so it’s neat to read that someone in another country is doing the same type of things or activities. Or some people have some of the same interests I do or maybe they like something totally different like music or art but through them sharing it I get a chance to experience something I may never have in my small niche in the world. One thing I find totally weird though is the amount of knitters on the site…….or maybe its not the amount of knitters on Plurk but the amount of Plurkers that knit???
