And They Called It Puppy Love

Why is it that children and puppies seem to grow up in the blink of an eye? I ask myself this every time I see my daughter, and her new puppy Buddy who I swear I can watch grow before my very eyes.

My daughter Katrein will be ten this year, I already feel her pulling away little by little, spending more time with friends. I know I’m not the only one who wishes we could stop time….. or just slow it down, let puppies be puppies just a little longer.

And spend a little more time in those certain sweat spots of life where our children still smile with abandon at a puppies kiss, and think spending time with a parent is fun and not punishment.
